Read Psalm 119:104 , Exodus 20:15-17 , Proverbs 25:11Proverbs 12:18-20

All the scripture passages above reveal the Lord’s will for honest and fitting speech. Psalm 119 is an extended poem, an acrostic, about the beauty and benefit of God’s word. Almost any possible challenge or blessing that enters our lives can be understood when we study, meditate on, and obey the wisdom there. The verses in Proverbs encourage words that are well-suited to the moment, honest, and uplifting.

In Week 1, our application of this meditation is on avoiding plagiarism, which is a major violation of academic integrity, and encouraging proper word choice by improving vocabulary. These language and life skills are practical and will encourage you to write and speak honestly and accurately.
