It is our intention with these resources to give you tools that can help you find assistance in your relational growth with God. This list of resources, hopefully, will continue to grow. If you have a resource that has been particularly helpful in your own personal walk, please feel free to share it with us by contacting us.

Principle Approach Bible Summary & Commentary

The Principle Approach Bible Summary & Commentary resource is something we have been working on for several years. It is a summary of each chapter of the Bible (still in progress) with specific principles pulled out of each chapter. It is our intent to continue to add to this as additional principles are noted in future readings. Additionally, we have added some connections to YouTube based graphical summaries from the Bible Project.

Principle Approach Devotionals

Another set of resources that we have been developing over the years is a set of devotionals based around Biblical Principles. Using a more traditional Principle Approach model, we have had educational course writers working to develop devotionals to teach various subjects from a Biblical, principled approach.  At present, we have over 780 developed with that number growing regularly. Check out our Principle Approach Devotionals.

BlueLetterBible.org

BlueLetterBible.org is a wonderful resource with Bible study tools including links to Strongs Concordance for each word/phrase in the Bible. It will allow you to see how the material you’re studying in the Bible was meant in the original languages.  There are multiple study tools on this site that will help you understand what the Bible has to say.

The Bible App

You very well may already have the Bible app loaded on your smart device(s). You can get it on most formats through the App store in most countries. Additionally, you can find it online at Bible.com.  This resource allows you to have your Bible on the go wherever you carry your smart device.

Micro Courses

This is in development. However, we are working on a number of free micro courses that will allow you to learn more about topics that will help grow your faith including:

  1. Introduction to the Bible
  2. How to Study the Bible
  3. Surveys of the Old and New Testament
  4. Tenets of Faith

These courses were originally developed for higher education and are being adapted for personal use, free of charge. Check back for these resources.

Our Blog

Of course, our blog will continue to grow with personal, devotional articles to help you grow in your faith. Check back often.

Recommended Books & Resources

Saving Christianity (and its predecessor unpublished versions) by Dr. Owen Allen share how our modern day church is based not on first-century Christianity. Instead, it was based on required formats established under Emperor Constantine. From that new format, our model of church has been changed for the worse.  This book lays out a foundation for how to reconsider church.

Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster is a classic text on spiritual disciplines for the individual.

Audio Bible (free). You can listen to the Bible being read by various individuals on the site for free. We recommend Max McLean in particular.

The Bible Project

The Bible Project is a free resource that summarizes the Bible and has learning tools for study of the Bible. You will find links to their resources in the Principle Approach Bible Summary & Commentary resource above. You can find resources directly from them here:

Contributor Resources

The individuals below have been involved with various aspects of asymmetric faith for a number of years.  Given their background, they have graciously provided resources free of charge for use on the site.

Dr. Owen Allen

Owen Allen, a former management consultant and corporate trainer with a doctorate in Organizational Behavior, retired from a successful career advising major corporations and governmental agencies to found The Christian Family Online in America, Inc. (CFO), a ministry focusing on promoting an Early Christian Lifestyle. His achievements include authoring ten books, such as “Saving Christianity,” co-hosting a related award-winning podcast, and developing “The Experience” retreat aimed at revitalizing Christian faith through practical engagements. Through CFO, Owen continues to speak, write, and teach, advocating for a life mirroring the miraculous existence of the early Christians.

See some of Owen’s projects here:

Dr. Larry Kennedy

Dr. Kennedy is especially known for his contribution to management science, in particular the domain of quality management and the disciplines of clinical research, engineering, and business/nonprofit leadership. However, he actively pursued men’s ministry and family counseling in full-time congregational service during the 1980’s before discovering the asymmetric nature of his faith and calling. The resources he has loaned us were produced to support his pastoral ministry and various philanthropic outreaches.

  • Becoming a Reliable Man of Faith and Practice
  • Vocational Excellence: Trademark of a Reliable Man.
  • Audio Teachings with Notes. This set of teachings is packed with content to help the listener understand practical application of the material

Check out the above resources here.

Dr. Joshua Fischer

Joshua has spent the majority of his career in higher education. He also leads several companies.   His undergraduate degree is pastoral ministry, though he never felt called to be a “professional” minister. However, he has always been engaged in furthering the message of Christ through his professional and personal efforts.  Dr. Fischer is responsible for the upkeep of this site (so if you find errors, it’s his fault ;-D).

Check out the above resources here.

Dr. Richard Ronsisvalle

Richard Ronsisvalle is considered to be one of America’s foremost teaching preachers and one of the most unique singers in Gospel music. Richard is the author of various books and has produced several musical recordings. He has served as a senior pastor and presently ministers in seminars and conferences throughout the United States and many countries around the world. Richard Ronsisvalle is the President of Reality 21.

Dr. David Ryser

Dr. Ryser has more than 20 years of pastoral and teaching ministry experience. During this time, he became increasingly convinced that the traditional, unbiblical religious system tended to draw the sincere Christian away from an intimate relationship with God. Having left the religious system, Dr. Ryser now self-identifies as “a garden variety lover of Jesus.” His “ministry” now consists of writing articles based in his own faith journey to encourage Christians who are transitioning out of religion and into relationship.

Dr. Ryser has a blog here and has made several recommendations to the Recommended Books list above. Additionally, several of his blog posts are featured in our blog.

Dr. Timothy Stafford

Dr. Timothy M. Stafford (Tim) is a Christian existentialist and a distinguished scholar in futuring education and instructional design for online learning. With an extensive background in teaching philosophy, ethics, leadership, theology, and educational theory and practice, Dr. Stafford brings a unique perspective to the contemporary discourse on faith and understanding, blending existentialist thought with a deep commitment to exploring the future of education and knowledge systems.

Reclaim Today

With an eye towards reaching millennials and Gen Z, Reclaim Today‘s mission is “We’re creatively exploring how we connect with God in the ordinary, extraordinary, everyday moments of life. We do this through solid and compelling words and visuals that model a practical way forward.” This group has a number of resources including articles, scriptural meditations, habits, and devotionals.
