Exodus 3:1-8

This week we will be examining the importance of developing long-term objectives for an organization.  The Bible is full of stories and challenges that required long term objectives. One of these is the story of how God led the Israelites out of bondage in Egypt to the Promised Land in Israel.  This journey took more than forty years. Yes, that is a long-term objective!

In this Scripture, we find the story of how God called Moses to the task of leading God’s people out of Egypt and into the Promised Land.  However, during this forty-year period, God provided everything his people needed.   In Deuteronomy 2:7, We see Moses speaking to the Israelites and quoting God.

The Israelites disobeyed God and countered his long term-strategic plan for their future, but God remained faithful and provided their every need, eventually leading them into the land He had promised them.   In the implementation of God’s long term strategic plan for our lives, sometimes we encounter difficulties, but if we stay true to God, He will honor our faithfulness and help us complete the plan He has for us.

What evidence can you point to that demonstrates you are following God’s long-term plan for your life?
