James 1:5

The book of James is full of practical instruction. Yet James begins his letter with encouragement to pray for wisdom. Oftentimes it is not so much what we do, but how we do it that makes the difference between success and failure. This scripture emphasizes that if we ask for wisdom, He will give it liberally.

The focus of this last week of the course is on future trends in healthcare and the leadership knowledge and skills that will be required. While no one except God can see the future, we can look at the direction of various trends and make projections. And we can ask God for wisdom!

  • Share about a time when you ask God for wisdom. What was the need? What was the result?
  • Are there situations in your life now that you need to ask God for wisdom?
  • How can you see this practice helping you as you move forward in your career as a healthcare administrator?
