Jesus knew the importance of staffing. He spent three years in ministry, and during that time, surrounded himself with 12 men, 11 of whom would continue the task of growing the church after their leader ascended into heaven. In this Scripture, we see that Jesus began to recruit these men.
Jesus had a task to complete and he needed good men that would carry on after he ascended to the Father. Jesus not only understood staffing, he also understood training. He spent three years living with and training these men to become church planters and to spread the Gospel throughout the world.
Yes, Jesus had the advantage of omniscience that you and I do not have, but we would do well if we followed his example and work hard at understanding and motivating the employees for whom we are responsible in order to positively influence the success of our organizations.
