Matthew 19:4-6, Ephesians 5:28-33
From a biblical perspective, beginning in Genesis, we understand family to be a man and a woman who are committed to each other over time, sharing intimacy, resources, decision-making responsibilities, and values, and assuming responsibility for the care of children. We trace the first family to Adam and Eve. This was God’s intent for the family relationships and the foundations for society.
Religion can be understood as veneration, devotion, even superstition of something.
It is some attitude or act of worship brought to an object or person considered to have sacred qualities.
The study of family and religion is very much related, as one cannot exist on earth without some form of the other.
