Someone once said, “No one stands as tall as when they kneel to help someone.” If you want to be a great leader, you must learn how to serve. In a society where people seem to be focused on themselves, serving others can be viewed as being weak or degrading. Yet, Jesus based his whole life and ministry upon this earth on serving others.
As you begin this course, determine now that you will be motivated to serve others no matter the cost or circumstances. Jesus did not call us to a life of being served, but rather to serve . . . just as he did. It is time for those who claim to follow Christ to emulate his behavior and attitude. Only then will the very nature of Christ begin to develop in us.
