I Thessalonians 5:11 , II Corinthians 13:11
As a ministry leader, being an encourager means that even though you may have doubt or anxiety in your mind, your words and actions always point to God and what he is doing in your midst. Many times, situations will not make sense. Keep in mind, others are watching you and will respond according to how you respond. If you are nervous or apprehensive, they will respond in like manner. As an encourager, no matter where you find yourself, look for the positive and what God is doing right then and there in that situation. This is a conscience decision, not allowing yourself to be ruled by what you see, but exercising your faith. As you encourage others, “the peace of God will be with you” even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty. Be encouraged . . . and encourage!
As you look back over the devotionals associated with this course, the key word that produces an effective ministry leader is “Serve:”
Servant
Example
Restorer
Visionary
Encourager
God bless you as you develop into the ministry leader he has destined for you to be!
