Genesis 2 is about the first marriage in the history of humanity. God created Adam from the dust of the ground. They walk and talk together in the cool of the day. Yet Adam still feels lonely for someone of his own kind. God created exactly that in Eve: she was literally bone of Adam’s bone and flesh of his flesh.
God is for marriage! He designed it. He created us to produce children and live in families. And one day he looks forward to welcoming us home to live with Him and our eternal family forever.
