Psalm 1, Proverbs 22:17 , Proverbs 23:12, Philippians 2:12-13

This week, we focus on the application of the course information, personally and professionally. Stage six of Crabb’s counseling model is to “plan and carry out biblical behavior.” This is, in essence, what we are focusing on this week. We have gathered the information in the previous weeks and are now planning and practicing how we will carry out and apply this information.

There are an endless number of scriptures that discuss the application of scripture, of wisdom, of knowledge, and of godly insight. Having discussed justification multiple times, can you identify where justification and application come together? How does sanctification come into play in our Christian lives? Is sanctification the application of justification/grace in our lives? First, it is grace/justification that allows for change in our behaviors. Second, it is the application, not merely the reading, of scripture and biblically informed principles that will produce change and growth in our lives.
