Paul’s final words to Timothy in his first letter to Timothy are a high challenge for a high calling. Paul challenges Timothy to pursue “righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.” He also challenges Timothy to “fight the good fight of the faith.”
Ministry leaders need relationships like Paul had with Timothy. A young leader like Timothy needed the encouragement, challenge, and accountability that a ministry veteran like Paul provided.
