Ephesians 2:18

The Jews hated the Gentiles. The Gentiles hated the Jews. When you put both groups together the total of humanity is at war with God. The only way that reconciliation can take place is through the Godhead. From the Old Testament perception, the Jewish way seemed to be the only way to God. Once the truth of salvation in Christ came to light every person had a path to God. Both Jew and Gentile could be reconciled to each other and to God.

One of the deepest yearnings of the human soul is to belong. The need is for inclusion. Our sinful nature naturally leads us toward exclusion. Humanity is outside the family of God. Inclusion in the family of God means a sinner needs to be presented to God the Father. The Holy Spirit works in the heart and prepares them for this presentation. The Lord Jesus Christ introduces them. There is freedom and boldness to access the Father through Christ. There is one Spirit that removes any sinful distinction of class and makes all believers one in the Father. The Father welcomes the redeemed into the greatest family any person could belong to. The child of God now has access into the Father’s presence. This gives them great privilege. Access to God, as the believer’s Father through Christ our Mediator, and directed by the Holy Spirit is a wonderful proof of a trinity of persons. It speaks of their deity and distinct personalities.

The doctrine of the Trinity seems to be a contradiction. How do you explain one God, three Persons?

Think about your personal worship of God. Do you spend more time worshipping one person of the Trinity over the other two persons? What causes the imbalance and how would you remedy this issue? What are some of the ways you include the Trinity in your spiritual growth?
