2 Timothy 2:15

God expects us to be diligent and labor in a way that we can be properly and truthfully tried, and found to have a good reputation, with no need to feel ashamed.

Colossians 3:23

This verse goes on to encourage us that “whatsoever ye do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not unto men.”  For the Christian representing an organization or a church, we must strive to do the best job we can, regardless of the profession we are in.  With being true to Him first and foremost, we can study, learn, and become confident in understanding an event’s purpose, the skill sets both paid staff and volunteers must have to serve, our budget parameters, and time constraints calculations to ensure a successful event in which we need not be ashamed.

God’s Holy Spirit can bring to our remembrance those things that we have learned and seen and heard.  There is no shame feeling inadequate to take an event from conception to fulfillment. The shame is in failing to admit it and failing to study what is needed to be successful.

Prepare to share how the Lord provided what you needed in times of inadequacy.
