There are a number of Scripture passages about coveting in the Bible. Coveting basically means wanting something that belongs to someone else. God tells us in this passage not to covet anything. So, what does this have to do with ministry?
Whatever type of ministry that you end up serving in, chances are you will know people who are serving in a ministry that has more financial resources, bigger budgets, better facilities, bigger salaries and more staff than your organization. You might have people in your church or ministry wonder why your ministry can’t be more like so and so’s ministry. These comments and comparisons can lead to coveting another person’s position or ministry resources.
Share what experiences you have had or have seen about coveting something another person or ministry has. Why does God tell us not to covet? What can be done to deal with this temptation?
