Rick Warren noted that 2,000 years after this leader lived, he has 2.1 billion followers. That is a leader—the Greatest Leader of All Time!
Jesus Christ is that leader. Mark 10:45 says about his leadership: “Even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many.”
Are you a follower of Jesus? If not, and you want to learn more about being a follower and the ransom mentioned in the above verse, check out this website.
Blanchard & Hodges, in their book Lead Like Jesus, point out that Jesus was a situational leader (p. 11). An example given is found in Matthew 4:19, where Jesus called fishermen to be his followers (leaders have followers) by challenging them to be fishers of men. He is still calling us to do that today!
