2 Timothy 3:10-17

Paul describes many elements of the teacher-learner relationship in these verses.  Timothy watched Paul and observed his behavior and reaction to different kinds of situations (v 10-11).  Paul points out the common features of those desiring to live a life devoted to Christ (v 12-13) and encourages Timothy to persevere and stay focused on God’s word – authoritative for both knowledge and daily life (vs 14-17).

As you read through these verses, what insights do they give you regarding your life today?  Have you had a chance to observe the life of a Christian devoted to Christ like Paul?  Are you experiencing any of these common elements that Paul experienced?  Do you allow the word of God to shape you daily into a worker who is ready for service? As teachers, these are the same questions we can ask about our learners.
