Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus completed the work of redemption. As head of this new creation, He then issued the Great Commission to all believers–our marching orders. This gospel closes with commission and comfort from our glorious Lord.

Since this is the last week of our time together, it is good to remind ourselves that as we minister to youth, whether they be our own or youth God has entrusted in our care, we are commanded to go and make disciples. The word “go” stands out even more today. It is no longer common that young people in America are attending church, which means we as youth workers are going to have to “go” to where youth are. Where should we be going to reach youth?

Whatever the future holds, it is comforting to remember that God is with us “always, to the very end of the age.” We are not alone.
