Romans 8:37-39

God plays for keeps.  He had a plan to make His love known to the world through His Son Jesus, and He has kept to the plan.  The timeline for the plan was eternity.   Paul is speaking to us in this passage regarding our temporary time span on this earth.  He is reminding us of the infallibility of the plan.  Jesus Christ died for our eternal life.  Nothing on this earth can separate us from the love of God.

For those of us that work in the world of commerce, we appreciate the value of a good plan.  We also recognize that planning is usually the easiest part of the process.  Executing the plan is where things can get a little crazy.  Though some of our plans may turn out quite successfully, seldom do they work out perfectly as planned.  There are usually little bumps in the way that force adjustments to the plan.  It is comforting to observe God’s appreciation for a plan.  He is not haphazard.  His plan was to send Jesus to die for our sins.  Paul comforts us with his words reminding us that absolutely nothing on this earth can separate us from God’s love.  The plan was perfect.

How does knowing that God’s plan is infallible give you comfort when facing challenges in your life?
