I Corinthians 10:23-11:1, Romans 13:1-5
Paul’s letter to the church in Corinth was an invitation to maintain healthy socialization behaviors. Newly born-again Christians were separating themselves from non-believers because of what they were eating.
In Paul’s letter to the Christians in Rome, he has chosen to remind the believers of their responsibility to not practice deviant behavior toward those in governmental authority over them. Christians in Rome are informed that God had placed all established institutions in existence, so to behave wrongly against them is to behave wrongly against God.
