As you read these three passages, reflect on how the passage in Lamentations describes the symptoms of anxiety and depression, whereas the passages in Deuteronomy and 2 Thessalonians seem to describe a thought disorder, specifically, a psychotic disorder.
Consider how the Scriptures describe these mental and emotional disorders and even at times in Scripture, God seems to use individuals with such disorders in a very powerful way in the history of salvation.
Think about how God views those individuals with mental and emotional disorders and how the descriptions of such individuals in the Bible can help us be empathic and potentially helpful as we reach out to them with love and competence.
