II Kings 18:1-3, II Kings 18:5-7a, II Kings 21:1-2, II Kings 10-12; 16, II Kings 19-20, II Kings 22:1-2

Four different kings following one right after the other – two wicked and two faithful.

With this in mind, consider the following question:

  • Using some of the concepts presented in these chapters, speculate on how even with a wicked father and grandfather, Josiah becomes the “poster child” of faithfulness (and yet his two sons who reign after him “do what is wicked in the eyes of the Lord.”).
  • What other influences may have been in Josiah’s life that pointed him in the direction of being faithful to God rather than wicked and turning away from God?
