Hebrews 11:1-40

This faith chapter in Hebrews delineates the men and women throughout biblical history who faithfully believed in God’s promises. Their testimony encourages us through the trials that we face in our lives today.

In the chapter we find many challenging experiences that were overcome by faith. Noah saved his family when God warned him about the flood. Sarah’s promise of a son was granted with Isaac’s birth. Abraham believed God and He delivered Isaac from the sacrifice by providing a ram for the sacrifice. Rahab protected the spies and saved the lives of her family through faith. These are just a few of the historical believers who trusted in the faith of God.

Verse 38 of chapter 11 states, “of who the world was not worthy”. What a wonderful historical tribute to these men and women of faith for us to emulate in our lives today.
