• The Art of Negotiation by Michael Wheeler is a must have essential for all recruiters.  It will help you negotiate new job orders.  It will help you negotiate with your client and candidate when salary has a gap.  It will assist you even in the beginning stages when you are sourcing passive candidates.  This is not a required resource for this course but is highly recommend that you put it on your bookshelf for access throughout your career.

  • Prepare to discuss the art of communication. Ensure the following points are addressed.
    • How do you sell your client to your candidate and your candidate to your client in those last few days and what are the most important step in securing that offer and getting through Onboarding?
    • What are you doing to differentiate yourself from 90% of other recruiters?   Calling that client to sell your candidate needs to be on this list.  What else can you do to create a package that is different?
    • You’ve developed that differentiation, secured the contract signed by both parties.  How are you going to approach your next discussion with the client?
