Love as the source of all virtues and the foundation of all law. Biblical love shapes our approach to biblical ethics. Love is the fire that keeps ethics alive. Our biblical ethics cannot stand the test of time without love. Without LOVE, all virtues are meaningless & empty (1 Corinthians 13:4–8a, ESV). We end up being legalistic and self-righteous. Without ethics, we end up in a chaotic “everyone-can-do-what-they-want” situation (Judges 21:25).
