Matthew 10:5-42 NLT

If anyone understood, or understands, the nuances of strategic planning, and the tactical planning it takes to accomplish a strategic plan, it’s Jesus. This “Sending of the Twelve” is probably the clearest, most overt example of his strategic and tactical planning. If you follow the life of Jesus you’ll see several covert examples, but this one is straight forward teaching.

So, think about this and let’s discuss it.

  • What in this monologue of Jesus is strategic and what is tactical, and why do you think so?

This particular situation is more of a business proposition but the end game of this plan is spiritual. What principles do you take away from this strategic plan, considering some of the tactics Jesus outlines, that you can apply to your personal spiritual growth and development?
