Here in our first week, we look at the process view of operations and clearly see that operations management is a collaborative effort. Working well with others is the key to success in many aspects of life including our spiritual life. Our greatest fulfillment starts with a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Nurturing this relationship supports our ability and desire to build relationships with others.
This scripture reminds us that our daily labors are more achievable when we share the load and consider what we get from our labor. No matter how challenging or enriching our work, it is the relationships that bring meaning. When you reflect on your relationship with Christ and apply it in your day-to-day work, you avoid the struggle of meaningless work: not just for you, but also for others.
- As an operations manager, how can you translate Christian philosophy into action to improve process management?
- What are the advantages to building trust within your unit?
