Nahum

This chapter talks about the Assyrians and Nineveh being judged. It also talks about the difference between those who trust and follow God versus those who don’t and how God’s reaction to each is different. He cares for those that follow Him and trust Him.

Principles: Following God brings His protection and care.

The invasion of Nineveh begins and its forces are mustered. Nineveh falls and is looted. The strength and glory it previously had is gone.

Principles: even the mightiest can fall.

This chapter describes the judgment coming against Nineveh asking if they expect to escape what happened to other cities like Thebes/Cush.

Principles: God sees our actions and discipline us to bring us back to Him. When we won’t repent the discipline increases towards our destruction.
