Philippians 2:4

In Paul’s letter to the church at Philippi, he encouraged believers to be ready to give honor to others and to look out for the interests of others. This is more than casual involvement. Love has genuine interest in and commitment to others.

As we work together in healthcare, we have many opportunities to demonstrate that honor and concern for others. This week’s topic, interaction within the continuum of care, encourages cooperation among caregivers to ensure the best outcome for others. Ethical issues which are the crux of caring for others in long-term care will also be explored.

  • As you think about your role as a healthcare administrator, in what ways do you anticipate that you will be in the position of looking out for others?
  • What things do you think that you might need to strengthen in your knowledge base or skill set to be better able to fulfill Paul’s directive within this LTC role?
