This book is in process. It had been completed but data was lost in a systems transition.
2 Chronicles 35
This chapter details how Josiah carried out passover in Judah, probably better than any other king since Solomon. Yet, Josiah dies an untimely death going into battle against King Neco of Egypt. King Neco even shares with Josiah that God has told him to go to battle and that his quarrel was not with Josiah but Josiah goes to battle anyway and dies.
Principles: Just because you are serving God faithfully doesn’t mean that you’re the only one that God is using. God is not limited to using only who you think He should use.
2 Chronicles 36
In this chapter, you see the last Kings of Judah and their short stints of reigning before the exile. Despite their sin, God continually sent prophets to warn them to repent. However, they didn’t repent.
Finally, Babylon came and conquered them and destroyed the temple. They remained in exile until the Persians conquered the Babylon ian and God directed Cyrus to send them back to build the temple.
Principles: God gives people multiple chances to repent. Sometimes the consequences of our sins simply play out and we get the results.
