I Timothy 4:6-16

Paul’s relationship with Timothy is often compared to that of a father/son, and in this passage, he gives Timothy fatherly advice as to how to live and what to believe – and then suggests that he teach these things to others even though he is young.

With this in mind, consider the following question:

  • Identify a time when you have observed or experienced an older person have difficulty taking seriously a younger person in a leadership role.
  • What can we learn from Paul in these verses regarding the ministry of younger people in one’s life?
