Ruth 2:4-5

Boaz was a well-known and wealthy business owner. He was considerate in the way he communicated with his employees and they responded in kind. Despite having a large operation, he knew each one of his employees. Later in the story, we see how he is considerate and caring for the gleaners and those who would be considered at a different social status.  The story of Boaz may also remind us of how Jesus treated those who were considered below him in status.

Consider the following as you reflect on the week’s devotional:

  • How do you treat colleagues or those who report to you?
  • Do you differentiate your treatment? Does the way you treat them honor God?
  • Do you know the name of the janitor at your place of work?
