2 Corinthians 11:24-28

In his second letter to the church at Corinth, Paul includes a list of sufferings he underwent during his effort to take the gospel to ends of the earth. Spend some time thinking through that list. Imagine yourself in those circumstances. Feel the cold damp jail cells. Consider the sense of loneliness. Think of the exhaustion. Feel the beatings. Think about the opportunities to turn around and quit. Yet, Paul didn’t quit. He pressed on.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV) says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”

With Paul’s words to Timothy in mind, respond to this week’s devotion explaining how the list of Paul’s sufferings can mature you in the faith?
