NOTE: Throughout your program, as you complete devotionals and discussions with classmates, consider how these are similar to Bible studies, Sunday school discussions, and other ministry discussions. This is an opportunity for you to practice your ability to “reason together” as Isaiah noted. It is an opportunity for you to listen and share. Keep that as your focus in all discussions but particularly in the devotional discussions.

Starting each week’s focus with a spiritual element helps us develop a mindset that God should be at the start of all our endeavors.
You are already on a path to expand your knowledge to include other students’ experiences and perspectives, and to be guided by your facilitator; so let us not forget the ultimate component of our growth, which is trust in God. There will be things that happen and make absolutely no sense to us, but we should not lean on our own understanding, as God has the truly big picture.
