This week we look at macroeconomic indicators such as GDP, inflation, unemployment, and savings and how they measure the overall health of the economy.
In this reading from Haggai, the people of God had returned from captivity to Jerusalem for the purpose of rebuilding the Temple. Yet, as they got going with their businesses and enjoyed the good life, they forgot about the rebuilding project. How quickly they forgot God’s work and calling in their lives.
Consider the following as you reflect on this week’s devotional: What has God assigned you to do, yet the cares of life and other responsibilities have prevented you from completing your assignment? As you go up the corporate ladder, do you push God out in favor of business growth and professional achievement?
