This week, we discuss concepts and strategies to set prices. God wants us to be fair in our pricing strategies and honest in all our business dealings. Yes, in the fallen world this is not always the case. Being honest in business dealings was also a problem back in the days of Solomon. The concept of honest scales and accurate rates can have broader application than just physical weights. What about measuring costs, time, and effort? God wants us to be fair and honest in all our dealings just as he is; he is just yet merciful in dealing with us.
Consider the following as you reflect on this week’s devotion: What price are you willing to pay to serve Jesus? Are you cheating Jesus and only giving part of yourself to him (dishonest scales)?
