Read: Acts 17:22-28

In these verses, Paul stands at the Areopagus in Athens, and masterfully uses a familiar object—a local altar to the unknown God-as an opportunity   to share the Gospel of the one true God. He adapts his method to fit the context and audience, using a mix of cultural references and direct scriptural truths.

This approach highlights the importance of diverse methods in spiritual communication. Just as Paul used a physical object and cultural knowledge, we are called to creatively and effectively use various methods to communicate God’s truth.

After careful consideration, please answer the following questions.

  • What are some creative methods you can employ in your communication to make the Gospel relevant to today’s audience?
  • How can understanding the cultural context of your audience enhance your effectiveness in sharing the Gospel?
