The important things we must contend with in life are prioritization and vision. From all sides we are distracted with what we are told “should” prioritize our life: wealth, a new home, new vehicles, great vacations, and a successful career. Whatever it may be that is pulling on you, test it against Romans 12:2 that says: “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Do your priorities align with those that God has ordained for you? Remember to “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). We can be busy and still be neglecting our relationship with the Lord, our family, our work, etc. Taking the time to prioritize our responsibilities and obligations can help us make wise decisions.
The Lord knows your needs and desires; He is faithful to care for His children.
“Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions…For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things. But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added to you.”
Luke 12:15
