Mark 4:21-22

Over and over again you will see in the area of finance people trying to cover up financial indiscretions and eventually getting caught.  Most of those people did not start off their career thinking about cheating and stealing.  Over the course of time, they fooled themselves into thinking that they could keep their sin a secret.  As believers in Christ, we should not fool ourselves into thinking that the all-knowing God does not see our hearts.  He knows exactly where we stand in our relationship with Him.

Can you imagine the power of God to be omnipresent?  Scripture tells us there are no secrets from God.  Even those things that we think remain hidden are revealed to Him.  This is a liberating thought.  God knows it all and continues to love us and reach out to us.  We can come to Him freely, knowing we have nothing to hide because it would be impossible to do so.  He calls us and accepts us where we are.

As we commit ourselves daily to Him we should be confident in knowing that God sent His Son to illuminate our way out of darkness.  God not only knows about our secrets, He made a way for us to live without the shame of hiding anything.  His light shines bright into our lives, bringing us forgiveness and peace.

How does knowing that God knows everything bring you greater peace?
