Acts 1:8 (opens in a new tab)
Globalism is certainly not new. It was an original concept in the heart and mind of God. Long before “Made in Japan” or “Made in China” ever appeared on the shelves of retailers across America, God was planning a massive international campaign. Like all great entrepreneurs, He started out locally with a small start-up of 120 employees at Jerusalem, and soon recruited more than 3,000 in his first major marketing blitz. In less than 50 years, 11 of His original 12 shareholders, led by the amazing Apostle Paul, had spread the glorious Gospel of salvation by faith across the entire Mediterranean region.
Sound like a far-fetched analogy? Every great business idea, every fundamental economic principle, and every successful venture can find its roots in the mind of The Great Originator. Starting out small in your own familiar surroundings, expanding into the region around you, moving out into surrounding cultures, and finally pushing into the entire known world is not a new-to-21st-Century business.
It is as old as the plan of salvation.
Why did God choose to use this particular plan to spread the good news of salvation?
