Song of Solomon 1
This book is a love letter between lovers. It has applications for romance as well as Principles for a relationship with God. In this chapter, the two lovers talk back and forth. The woman is slightly embarrassed that she is darker from working in the sun because her brothers made her. The Man loves her all the same.
Principles: be excited in your spouse and in your love for God.
Song of Solomon 2
The young man and young woman continue their love notes back and forth between each other. One point made is not to let love start before it is time. Then there is the point of hope saying it is almost time for the man to come for the woman.
Principles: protect yourself from going too far in a relationship. Look forward with hope to when it is time.
Song of Solomon 3
The lady misses Solomon because he is not with her so she goes looking for him in the city. She finds him and takes him to their bed. The section ends with another warning about not awakening love too early. The women of Jerusalem talk about the virtues of Solomon. Then the lady ends by telling others to come see Solomon.
