Perhaps you have seen the movie “The Stepford Wives.” All the wives in a small neighborhood in Connecticut are being turned into robots. They are completely controlled by their husbands and have no ability to think or act on their own.
What a horrible world it would be if we were all robots without any personalities, or uniqueness. Thankfully, that is not how God designed us.
The end of our verse says, “God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.” Each of us has our own unique personality; we each have our own gifts and talents. Our differences shouldn’t be viewed as needing to be overcome, but something we should celebrate. When we each bring our different gifts and talents to a project, it is amazing what we can accomplish for the glory of God.
