Moses was a great leader; that is an understatement. However, Moses was assuming too much responsibility. When his father-in-law, Jethro, shows up, he evaluates Moses’ leadership dilemma and speaks with him regarding the principle of delegation. Moses accepts the feedback Jethro offers and establishes an effective plan of delegating responsibility throughout his large community of followers.
As leaders, we need to listen to feedback and address deficiencies we might have in our leadership that will help improve our effectiveness.
