One of the topics discussed this week is global marketing. Jesus is talking with his disciples just before He ascended into heaven to be with His Father and He gave them the command in Mark 16:15. This passage is often called the Great Commission.
Scripture tells us about missionary work in different countries around the Mediterranean that some of the apostles conducted after Jesus’ death. We are not specifically told what the Apostle Thomas did to obey Jesus’ command; however, there is evidence that he planted churches in seven different cities in what is now the southern part of India. Throughout history many have worked to spread God’s Word globally and continue to do so today.
