Genesis 6:5-8
We can learn a number of things from Noah. Specifically, John Maxwell in Running with the Giants suggests that we learn that WE can make a difference.

We can make a difference for our families:  Because of Noah’s faithfulness and integrity, not only was he saved from the flood, but so was his entire family.  The people who are closest to you benefit most when you live for God.

We can make a difference for future generations:  When you serve people and show them the love of God, you impact their lives. Because you positively impacted them, they will likely positively impact someone else. You create a chain reaction that can reach across the generations.

We can make a difference for God:  Because of Noah’s relationship with God, the course of history was changed forever. God didn’t need Noah and God doesn’t need us; however, He chose to use Noah and He chooses to use us. It is an awesome thing that we can be a part of God’s great plan for this world!

We can make a difference at any age:  Noah lived to be 950 years old. You are never too old to make a difference. You are never too young to make a difference. You can make a difference at any age!

When you question whether or not you can really make a difference in this world, look to God’s word and the person of Noah. In him, we can see that we really can make a difference!
