Many people begin things with very little knowledge and not surprisingly, lack of success is the result. However, one needs to stay current to be not just relevant but effective.
Knowledge is information gathered, but wisdom is rightly applied knowledge. As human services professionals, there must be an awareness of sensitive populations and interventions that would be most effective. In addition, the human services professional should be aware of the legislation that can impact the community in which they work.
