Read: John 1:1-5

In the opening verses of John’s Gospel, we are presented with a profound truth: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” These verses highlight God’s identity as the ultimate Communicator. The ‘Word’ refers to Jesus Christ, who came to express God’s love and truth to humanity.

The concept of God as Communicator reminds us that communication is intrinsic to God’s nature. He chose to reveal His thoughts, character, and plans through His Word — both the written Scriptures and the living Word, Jesus. As we consider God’s communication with us, it invites us to reflect on how we engage with His Word and how we use our words in relation to others.

After careful consideration, please answer the following questions.

  • How can your daily communication reflect the truth and love that God communicated through Jesus?
  • In what ways can you improve your engagement with God’s Word to better understand His communication to you?
