The Book of Nehemiah can be found at the Bible Gateway website. Go to the book and then select the following chapters and verses:

Nehemiah 2:6,13-20; 4:13-14; 5:16; 6:15; 7:2-3; 8:18; 9:38-10:39; 13:6-30

The Bible is full of examples of how processes were designed, and detailed plans were put into place for God’s Will to be accomplished. Can you imagine how much stronger the church could be if processes are continuously improved?

The biggest beneficiaries likely are Christian organizations that view quality improvement programs not as ends in themselves; but as tools for implementing and executing organizational strategy more effectively. To get the most from programs for facilitating better strategy execution, leaders must have a clear idea of what specific outcomes really matter. The outcomes that matter include reaching the world for Christ by improving processes that, if not improved, would squander the scarce resources that exist.

In looking at the huge project Nehemiah completed in the readings above, what concepts of strategic and quality management can you identify?
