Read 1 Timothy 6: 17-19
These verses describe how the focus of multinational organizations should not simply be on creating wealth for the organization. They should also use their money to do good. Multinationals should focus more on using their businesses to create a positive lasting impact on the foreign country than concentrating on organizational wealth. This would also provide economic development for these countries. Focusing on God would eliminate the pursuit of organizational wealth for the wrong reason. Instead, multinationals could learn to use wealth for helping to better develop their countries. Multinational organizations must fight for what they believe is true and right for the individuals working in their organizations.
Financial managers of multinational organizations must put their trust in God, who can provide them with everything needed to make sound management decisions. Financial managers have a responsibility to be good stewards of their organization, investing in employees, consumers, and foreign economic conditions.
Address the following:
- What verse in 1 Timothy 6: 17-19 relates to exchange rate behavior and why?
- How can financial managers who rely on God impact the economic conditions of the foreign country?
