As educators, we are entrusted with the profound responsibility of shaping young minds. Curriculum planning is an opportunity to use our giftings and look to God for wisdom and guidance. Our curriculum planning should be aimed at nurturing knowledge, wisdom, and character development in our students.
Educators have a wide variety of God-given gifts which should be used to develop curriculum which serves our students and honors God. Our gifts differ from one another which brings a unique perspective to our curriculum planning. As we plan, we should honor the diversity within our classrooms recognizing that every student is a precious creation of God. We must encourage a passion for learning that goes beyond academic achievement. Our curriculum should cultivate an environment where curiosity is nurtured, creativity is celebrated and a love for wisdom is instilled. In doing so, we contribute to the holistic development of each student.
As we embark on the journey of curriculum planning, we must commit our work to God and ask for His guidance and creativity to help us see each student through His eyes. Our curriculum should reflect His truth and promote a learning environment where His love is evident.
