Power, the expanding of energy. We see it all around us in the fabric of the universe, in the very nature of things that exist. So, it begs the question, where did this energy come from? Of all the sources which speak about beginnings, only the Bible tells us directly where this power, energy, organization and even decay, comes from –it is Jesus Christ, our Lord, God Almighty (John 1:3).
As we look at the contrasting concepts of beginnings and their time frames, we should wonder, how does believing in chaos as the primary design element for our world, produce the beautiful designs seen in nature today? Or does believing in Creation by Design better explain the world and what produces the chaos we see today? Think about it. If our being here is nothing more than a random chaotic event, then why should we expend any energy beyond our present moment of being? Yet if there is a Creator, who has the power to create things out of nothing, to give design, to explain our nature, wouldn’t He also have the power to give us meaning, to give us purpose, to save?
Take some time today to consider some of the events in the Bible where God showed His mighty power. How has your life been touched by His saving power?
